For many years I was on the steering group of New Networks for Nature, a fabulous UK collective that organises an annual get-together of people from all walks of life to celebrate the natural world. I co-curated the 2019 event in York and the 2021 gathering in Bath.
In 2015 I was awarded the Dilys Breese Medal for science communication by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO). I am one of only a few people to get this gong – and some of the other medal-holders are pretty famous.
